How To Choose the Right Newborn Photographer?
So, for all those new parents out there who have decided to have photographs taken of their new baby, how do you decided who is the right newborn photographer for you?
You maybe searching for photographers in your area using google, but what do you need to look for.
In a previous blog, about newborn safety (see here), I discussed the main element of any newborn photo shoot is the safety of your newborn. You should ALWAYS make sure the photographer has had specific newborn training and can prove this to you.
However, once you have found out there relevant training, you need to think about what style you want: Posed, Documentary, or Lifestyle and look at there work carefully to think about whether the style is what you would like for your images.
At Natalie Moss Photography, I work in a dedicated studio for newborn photography, so although my style is posed, my style is very natural, with the use of soft colours and tones and with props that add to the picture rather than distract. Your baby needs to be the main focus of an image, so I always have this in mind when I am styling an image.
Although, some parents may worry about coming out to the studio with such a small baby, I assure you that I make the sessions relaxed and calm and always baby led. By taking the photographs in the studio, I can have all the equipment, lighting and props ready for the session.
If you would like further information about a newborn photography session at Simply Newborn Photography, please complete the form here and I will be able to send you further information and a price list.
