WHEN TO BOOK YOUR NEWBORN SESSION
The Golden Window
In the world of newborn photography, timing is not just important—it’s everything. The first 14 days of your baby’s life offer a unique opportunity to capture those heart-melting, curled-up poses that define newborn portraits. During this precious window, your little one is still naturally curled from their time in the womb, sleeps more deeply, and settles easily into those adorable positions that you’ll treasure forever.

We know that babies often have their own schedules. That’s why our booking process is designed with flexibility in mind:
- Limited Monthly Sessions: We reserve only a handful of newborn sessions each month. This ensures that every family receives our undivided attention and a relaxed, unhurried experience.
- Last-Minute Availability: Surprised by an early arrival? Don’t worry! We always keep a few slots open for those eager babies who just can’t wait to meet the world.

HOW TO BOOK YOUR NEWBORN SESSION
As baby’s never arrive on time (unless you have a planned C-Section) we don’t finalise the session date till they arrive. When you are ready to book we will then make a tentative booking based on your estimated due date, then confirm the final date of the shoot when baby has arrived.
The session usually take between 2-3 hours, ensuring plenty of time for feeding, soothing and cuddles if needed. No session is ever rushed, and is always baby led.
Every session includes family and sibling images – these in my opinion are the most treasured images!

About two weeks after your photography session, you’ll be invited back to our studio for a special viewing and ordering appointment. There is no pressure selling and will be no obligation to buy.

As a newborn photographer near Weybridge, my studio is nestled in Pyrford, Surrey. My studio is a safe haven designed with newborns and their families in mind. This welcoming space allows you to relax and enjoy your session while I capture precious moments. I’ve carefully curated every detail for your comfort and your baby’s well-being: from providing hot and cold drinks for parents, to offering facilities for warming or cooling baby bottles. All props, blankets, headbands, and wraps are sourced from specialist vendors, ensuring natural fibres that are gentle on your newborn’s delicate skin. Conveniently located, my studio welcomes clients from across Surrey, including Woking, West Byfleet, Weybridge, Cobham, Guildford, and the surrounding areas.
