Winner of Newborn Photographer of the Year 2019 at the Societies of Photographers International Awards

Natalie Moss Photography awarded Newborn Photographer of the Year 2019

Wow, what a start to the New Year. I won Newborn Photographer of the year 2019 at the Societies of Photographers International Awards.

Terrie Jones of The Societies of Photographers said “This image shows a wonderful feeling of family unity and a well captured expression which you don’t often find in Newborn portraits” about the winning image.

Over 437 images were entered into the competition, so to win Newborn Photographer of the Year is truly amazing. The glamorous event took place at the Novotel in Hammersmith on Friday 24th January. It was a great night and it was lovely to get dressed up for the occasion. The winning images for the different categories were amazing and there were so many talented photographers in attendance.

One of the comments, about my image was the simplicity of the shot. With all my newborn images, I want to make sure nothing distracts from the newborn. I want my images to be timeless and that in years to come, clients can look back over them and they still look just as beautiful!

I just love photographing newborns. I love capturing the love, journey and story of a new family. Working with newborns is very special (especially all the cuddles I get), and I like the emotion of this work – delicate, soft and pure.   

All my sessions are tailor made to my clients. Before the session, we discuss colours, props and styling, so I can produce beautiful images to your requirements. I use muted colours and have carefully selected the most beautiful fabrics, wraps etc from the best worldwide suppliers.

Another reason for attending the conference, was to look at all the new products available, so watch this space for exciting new products from Natalie Moss Photography.
