When should you book your newborn photography session and what to expect during your session?

WHEN SHOULD I BOOK MY NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHY SESSION?

I would advise people to book after their 20 weeks scan to ensure availability and reserve a session.  We would book a date in a week after your due date to secure a session, however, this date may need to change depending on whether your little one arrives on time!

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO DO A NEWBORN SESSION?

The best time to photograph your newborn is between 6-14 days.  However, I have photographed newborns up to 5 weeks before, so please do not worry.  The older they are the more awake they will probably be, so we would just adapt the session, however, awake shots are still beautiful!

WHERE IS YOUR STUDIO LOCATED?

My studio is based in Pyrford, near West Byfleet in Surrey.  I have clients coming from all surrounding areas including Weybridge, Cobham, Walton on Thames, and as far as Basingstoke.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING A NEWBORN SESSION?

Before the session, we would have a pre-consultation to discuss the session and any requirements you may have, including colours etc. A  session normally involves photographing your newborn with a range of props, with coloured backdrops and then with the parents. HOW MUCH DOES A SESSION COST?

A session fee of £80 is required to book your session.  Following the session, we would arrange a viewing session, where you would have the opportunity to view your images.  I have a range of products to suit all budgets.  Examples of my products can be viewed on my website or please email info@simplynewbornphotography.co.uk for further information.

ARE YOU TRAINED IN NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHY AND SAFETY?

The safety of your newborn is the most important element during the session.  I have trained in newborn photography with some of the best worldwide newborn photographers and continue to keep my training up to date.  All poses are done safely and your newborn would never be put at risk during a session.
